Just so we're clear...
CW: Mention of assault
I want to stress this to the absolute fullest extent of my being: even when it is hard for me to, I still pray for the people who make me speechless and angry.
After praying for said people, I genuinely feel like I see things God's way. But then I'm met with a question of: So is that it? The person you prayed for should be absolved of all their mistakes and sins and be welcomed into the church with open arms?
It's not that easy.
You don't give an alcoholic a job at the liquor store, nor would you a burglar a job at a bank or jewelry store… so you (logically) shouldn't put a creep in children's ministry.
When I was younger, a friend of mine was assaulted and I remember being bitter towards the attacker, and that got me nowhere.
Hate does that to us. It gets us absolutely nowhere fast.
I've learned instead, to pray for those who I disagree with and leave the rest to God. Now this is my strategy as a person in a non-leader role.
I don't believe in violence towards any group of people. No matter how much or how angry someone is, I believe talking it out and praying is the best course of action. Saving the anger for why is there another software update after installing one goes a lot farther than being angry at a person.
I speak from experience when I say this.
